Meet our Coaches

Lisa Bellmore – Head Coach

Lisa is a provincial level certified coach with Skate Canada. Lisa comes from a skating family where both parents taught skating. Lisa has been coaching since 1996 and has taught skaters of all levels. Lisa is a triple goal medalist; She has her Junior Competitive and skated competitively until she was 18 years old. Lisa teaches all levels of skating from from Precan and Canskate to Starskate and Powerskating. Lisa is focused on building skaters basic skills in order to achieve their success.

Aniesa Routely

Aniesa has been figure skating for 23 years. She has competed at the provincial and national level with a final placement of 4th in Canada. Aniesa coaches all levels of skaters from beginners to competitive.

Lauren Collins

Lauren began her skating career at a small town skating club in Elmvale, ON. She then transitioned to training at the Mariposa school of skating for many years. Lauren completed her gold freeskate, skills and diamond dance. At the age of 12 she pursued her passion for ice dances. Her and her partner were the Canadian Novice ice dance champions in 2012, and later the silver medalists at the Junior National Ice dance championships. She represented Canada internationally at both the junior and senior levels in ice dance.

After retiring from competitive ice dancing in 2016, Lauren completed her Bachelors of Kinesiology, followed by her Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree at the University of Toronto. While attending university she remained involved in the sport as a member of the Varsity Figure Skating team and by coaching at local figure skating clubs. She now works as a registered physiotherapist in our community.

Lauren is an NCCP Certified Regional Coach and has experience coaching skaters of all experiences and abilities in both the CanSkate and StarSkate programs. She looks forward to sharing her love of skating the with next generation of young athletes. Her goal is to inspire new skaters while having fun.

Kate Cherewaty

Kate has been apart of the Coldwater & District Skating Club for 15 years. Thirteen of those years were spent as a skater. Kate has a passion for being on the ice and teaching others. Her goal is to facilitate a happy and healthy environment that encourages skaters to meet their personal goals. Kate coaches beginner level skaters and will be advancing her training throughout our upcoming season.
